The draft legislation makes changes to the three regulations that were the subject of the public consultation on proposed changes to the chemicals regulatory framework in Great Britain (GB), that are the responsibility of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Defra publishes information on alignment with the EU Sanitary and Phytosanitary legislationThe Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has published information that the United Kingdom (UK) will align with the European Union (EU) Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) legislation. This is being done to cut red tape and costs for importing and exporting with the EU. Call for evidence on alignment with the EU Sanitary and Phytosanitary legislation The government is forming a new strategic partnership with the European Union (EU) on the trade and movement of plants, plant products, animals, animal products, feed and food.
